WUNDERKIND the wunderkind

WUNDERKIND- brand from Wolfgang Joop, who was before the head of design from fashion universe JOOP!. WUNDERKIND is a young prét-a-porter-label, with a well combined stylemix of streetwear (the shape) and haute-couture (fabrics, individual hand-crafted-style). The most I like coulor combinations and print style of the garments. It´s always near the border from "too-much" and NO-GO!!!, but the presented pieces never crosses this line.

FRESH FRESH FRESH....RODARTE

The RODARTE garements for Spring 2010 looks as well great like the style from WUNDERKIND from 2006- it depends on the prints, drapes, colours I think. Indeed, the Rodarte-style is not easy but although wearable- a expert problem solving. And that although the both RODARTE- designers are self-taught persons who studying art-history and english literature. The prints are the most impressive from the arrangements- its not easy to combine four different prints in one dress and avoid coevally that the viewers getting blind. The draping, in diagonally lines over the brest and body is well-done. It looks like scottish warriors, but just projected in a minidress. But however, the collection includes a lot mor wearable garements for the hungry viewers- when you compare it with the first collections from 2005- "wearable" wasn't exactly a Rodarte catchphrase when they´ve started. The early looks included cobwebs of lace; a skirt like a stiff, gold lamp shade; and floating watercolor frocks that reminded viewers of Leda and the Swan. But by the spring of 2007, the industry, which, after all, must have something to sell, was beginning to wonder aloud whether the Mulleavys could produce truly wearable ready-to-wear.

Melbourne Fashion Week 09

Wow wow- the Melbourne Fashion week was great. I choosed my most favourite designer label from the shows I viewed. There are a few labels in show 1 on the runway: -Akira, Gwendolynne, Aurelio Costarella, MATERIALBYPRODUCT, Easton Pearson, Christine... . Before I go to the event I thought, Akira was my favorite because I see some pictures from his garements and I really like it. But during the shows I got enthused for the work of MATERIALBYPRODUCT! The wrapping dresses! The colours! The amazing prints!! Besides- they made a really special show for presenting the fashion...

Diane Kruger in outrageous hot plateaus

Noir- organic cotton blssomed up in high luxury

Looking for transparent, leggins-shaped trousers or a well shrunken bomber? Noir is your label. Noir is a relatively new label founded by Copenhagen native Peter Ingwersen and designed by Rikke Wienmann. The label has been burning up the runway with its hot looks, but Noir’s sexiness is based in sustainability. Igwersen not only purchases goods that support sustainable businesses in developing nations (about 70 percent of the line was made from certifiable materials), but he's also developing a collection of organic cottons in Uganda.
But, though virtuous, there is nothing crunchy or goody-two-shoes about Noir. It´s precision-tailored, high luxury and sexy-without-too-much-ordinary fashion- of course in the Danish modern way..

..enfant terrible..but follows his line!

It is not easy to surprise the public, when you made a collection before like Gareth Pugh does in 2007. But with following his own style, just in a sharp, contrasted and graphic style- he presents a new masterpiece for the fashion crowd.

Warm up again: Gareth Pugh Spring 2007

Inspired partly from his from his background as a costume designer for the English National Youth Theatre, and partly from London's extreme club scene- Gareth Pughs star in the fashion scene growes up and lights still the way for other fashion producing people. Probably there is a huge influence from Rick Owens in Pughs work, with whom he once interned.
The Style, Pugh developed is revolutionairy; full-skirted checkerboard dresses, well-constructed Platforms, nd coats made from survival-blanket silver foil. Mostly the faces from performing models are totally covered, the gender underneath the wide-shaped clothes was not cognizable- and don´t has a relevance for the unisex-outfits.

山本 耀司- the genius of dark colours...

Yoji Yamamoto- one of the most popular japanese fashion designers- well, I think you know his work. He successfully achieved an almost unbelievable stunt- because he can make both: design for one of the biggest commercial sportswear-companies (ADIDAS) and, on the other side- design his awesome, inimitable couture besides the usual way of fashion.

Maison Martin Margiela

The menue, which Martin Margiela is cooking for the public is just tremendous. He is the limit. From materials far away from usual fashion items he create an amazing zombiesoup with plastic wigs and and other colourfull spices. Create something new from an old, outworn object is an very sensitive issue. It is about nothing less than he is giving an object a new spirit.
